Becky D. Alexander has lived in Cambridge, Ontario all her life. She was raised in a rural setting on the edge of Hespeler. Teaching was her passion and she held several positions with the Waterloo Regional District School Board until her retirement in 2000. An award winning, internationally published poet, Becky decided she wanted to promote local writers and established a small independent publishing company, Craigleigh Press. Any profits from one book were turned back into producing the next author’s works. She has read her works at many venues in Ontario and Kentucky and organized poetry readings in Cambridge. She has also offered workshops for writers. Becky was awarded the Bernice Adam’s Award for her contributions to the Literary Arts in Cambridge. Her book credits include: Down Hammett’s Lane; Lost Boots; On Raven’s Wing; Days The Willows Choose; Sunshine Days; and her latest work, Shrapnel: Tales of a Soldier Dad. She has also collaborated with other poets to write In L.M.’s Garden, haiku by two, and Cloud Shine. Her newest book release, Portals, is also a collaboration with Katherine L. Gordon and Stanley J. White.
