尤金・P・维格纳,著名物理学家,1902年生于匈牙利,1995年逝世于美国。他曾长期担任美国普林斯顿大学教授,并在第二次世界大战期间主持过曼哈顿计划中的一个重要项目。维格纳是1963年诺贝尔物理学奖获得者,还曾先后荣获费米奖、和平利用原子能奖等。
