玛姬•欧法洛：1972年出生于北爱尔兰的科尔伦,她是英国最负盛名的小说家,处女作《你走了以后》获得英国《卫报》“25年来最佳小说”,是英国最大连锁书店“水石”(Warterstones)评选出的“影响未来25年的25位作家”之一。

玛姬曾在香港和英国两地从事过新闻工作,担任过英国独立报的副文学编辑,也曾教授过创意写作。在成为专职作家之前,她曾当过餐厅服务生、快递员、教师与剧场经理,也在香港当过记者,在伦敦担任《周日独立报》副总编辑。这些丰富的职场经历,虽未完全反映在她的作品里,但多少影响了她从少年时期即已开展的写作活动。
